This is a Betsuuchi Sakimaru Takohiki knife. It is made not only stainless steels and ceramics, but also Blue steel #2.

It is made of Japanese swords (Samurai Katana) technique for a long time, then it feature tough and sharpness.Takohiki was used as a sashimi knife. It is characterized by its rounded tip and the straight edge.

It is a knife that looks like a sword with a slightly curved appearance. It has a narrow width like an octopus puller and can be used like a yanagiba. You can also use only the tip to make a notch.

The steel is blue 2 steel, so it is moderately hard and has a long-lasting sharpness. The size is the length from the tip of the blade to the gusset (to the gap between the handle and the knife), not the length of the blade.
